C.O.P.E. is a service delivery agency and we seek to address issues of safety in Glasgow in practical terms.

The work C.O.P.E. is involved in is on a variety of levels:

Training

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training and Scottish Mental health First Aid training, this is delivered to a variety of groups including individuals from:

  • A variety of statutory and volutary sector organisations,
  • Other agencies from workforce development organisations.
  • Individuals who themselves have experience of mental or emotional distress or their carers for personal development.

This training has helped support suicide safer communities.

We are also developing a training course for promoting self responsibility and responsible citizenship.

Individual support

This includes individuals who are victims of:

  • Crime.
  • Domestic abuse.
  • Physical, emotional, psychological or sexual abuse/rape.
  • Ill health due to neighbourhood disputes or anti social behaviour.

We also support individuals who maybe causing others distress due to issues of anger.

We also support individuals who are self medicating with drugs or alcohol.
