We moved from there to a room in SAMH supported accommodation offices. Eventually, thanks to the support of local business man, John Oliver, we now occupy 4000 square feet of purpose built premises.

In C.O.P.E.'s first year it supported 21 people.
Our original objectives were:
C.O.P.E. was initially called the Drumchapel Mental Health Consumer Enablement Project, this was shortened to CEP. Following consultation with the community, our name was changed to C.O.P.E. – Caring Over People’s Emotions.
We now support in excess of 1000 people every year, this includes very short term work such as initial grief reactions to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse who are perhaps self medicating with a variety of substances.
We also offer a variety of training and advice on mental health and related issues. C.O.P.E. is involved and leads on community development initiatives e.g. in partnership with the police and others we support the blue light discos, a safe place for young people to enjoy themselves.
