We have been established since 1991 and continue to provide a significant service to G.Ps, a variety of statutory and voluntary agencies and to the local west community.
We provide direct support, training, advice and information on mental health and stress related issues.Through our trading arm, TLC2COPE, we can also provide a variety of services to the voluntary or private sector.
All our work is highly planned with a clear evidence base and over the years our methods have produced very positive outcomes for people who have used the service.
The Community Plan 2005 - 2010 for Glasgow identified key themes to improve living in Glasgow.
The themes are:
C.O.P.E. is working hard at making a positive contribution to these themes.
We are a user led service and have been since our initial conception. We are accountable to a management committee made up of local people.
C.O.P.E. is committed to encouraging people in communities to identify and understand issues that are important to them, and then provide learning support that enables them to take action.
Our workers are also accountable to their own professional bodies.
C.O.P.E.'s funding comes from the Fairer Scotland Fund, our own fund raising efforts and the West Community Health and Care Partnership.
